The Prince George's County Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who was found dead in Fort Washington late last month and has not been identified.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, a man's body was found along a shoreline in the 8200 block of Waterside Court, though the department has been unable to identify him to notify his family.

Few details have been released about the man, though police provided photos of several "distinguishing tattoos" he has on his left chest and below the navel that they hope will help them determine who he is.

No foul play is suspected in the death.

Anyone who recognizes the tattoos or has information about the incident can reach investigators by calling (301) 516-2512.
